Prompt to Play Store
From Ideation to App Creation
One designer with thirty years of software behind him and zero mobile experience in front of him, taking an app from a half-formed idea to a published store listing with AI in the loop at every stage.
A story and a manual at once
Read it straight through and it is an account of what actually happened, including the overnight test that proved the timers were broken and the week it took to rebuild playback on a foreground service. Read it with your hands on the keyboard and it is a build guide that ends with your own app in a store.
It is deliberately short. This is a one-two-three guide, not a reference tome, and padding it would defeat the point. Early on there is a fork in the road: take the Google Play path or the Apple path. The book is not finished until both are shown.
Who it is for. Two audiences at once. People who have never opened a developer console and want one clear route through. And working UX professionals who want to see what an AI-assisted process looks like when somebody documents it honestly rather than selling it.
Simply Rest is real
Most build-an-app books end with a toy. This one ends with an app you can download, pay for, and use tonight. Every screenshot, every console field, and every decision in the book came from shipping it.
The living reference
A printed book is accurate on the day it ships. Consoles are not. Field names move, requirements appear, SDKs break things on a schedule. Every part of the book that goes stale gets re-checked here, with a date on it so you know how much to trust it.

Updated as things change, not on a calendarGoogle Play Console
App content declarations, data safety, store category choice, and the foreground service permission with the demo video it now requires. Field names and locations move between visits. Re-checked and re-screenshotted here.
RevenueCat
Product import, entitlements, service account credentials, and wiring real-time developer notifications so a refund revokes the unlock automatically. The setup order matters and it has changed.
Expo and EAS
SDK version pinning, build profiles, preview builds for device testing, and producing a bundle the Play Console will accept. SDK releases break things on a schedule.
Android background audio
Why a locked screen suspends JavaScript, why that silently breaks shutoff timers, and what a foreground service implementation actually looks like. The single hardest thing in the build.
Apple Developer and TestFlight
Enrollment as an individual against enrollment as an organization, what each shows buyers on your listing, and the submission path through review.
Prompt library
The prompts from every chapter, kept current as the models change underneath them. A prompt that worked last spring may not be the one you want now.
Curriculum and course content
The same material works as teaching. Soluxain develops UX and AI course content, workshop material, and hands-on modules for design education programs — built from a real shipped product rather than a hypothetical brief.
